And I can happily say that halo deserves around an average of a 9. It's not perfect, but it continued to add on gameplay that was good from the beginning (I think they strayed a little too far with 3 by adding TOO many weapons/options). It added online with 2, then forge and video with 3.
I think if they would have figured out a better way to get across some of the story elements in MGS4 through gameplay instead of so many cutscenes, it would have been a lot better (look at thing...
SPOILER WARNING!!!!
If you watch the scene where snake and liquid fight, that's an amazingly melodramatic fight. There's also the fact that it doesn't make any sense.
The fact that they inject each other goes completely against the fact that they want to kill each other, and would suggest highly that each of them is a masochist wanting the other one to kick their ass as much as possible.
If they were looking for a fair fight, they would just not inject e...
dude, some people have more fun gaming with certain people online.
Just because you don't consider them "friends" doesn't mean people shouldn't have a way to keep playing with them.
I have people on my friends lists that I've been playing games with for literally years. apparently that doesn't hold as much weight as people I've only been hanging out with for a few months?
He said it has 256 of system memory and 256 of graphics.
"which is only 256MB for the entire system (thought there is also another 256MB in the GPU)."
He said exactly what it is.
I found that line incredibly ironic.
Could we drop the lazy argument already? It's like anytime a developer says developing for the PS3 is in any way negative there's a default sony fanboy response of the developer being lazy.
Would you just give it a rest?
people think it's expensive because it's been in development so long. It's been in development since well before the PS3 launched, and it's got more than 100 employees.
So, take the salaries of 100+ employees for 3-5 years, factor in money spent on upgrading their tech, factor in engine development, and various fixed costs for development; they start to add up quite a bit.
No... he's more like a spectator yelling at another spectator for saying the second baseman stopped the ball and will continue to stop balls, when everyone has seen the second baseman miss the ball this time and many times before.
CWATIDIDTHUR?
When someone pauses, EVERYONE PAUSES. They should have just made it so the character is stuck in one spot doing nothing while he levels up so I can go kill stuff while he does it.
That would seriously make 4 player co-op suck if they kept it the way it is.
I think everyone getting upset with Too Human was just expecting too much from it from the beginning.
Personally, all I wanted out of the game was a hack n slash/dungeon crawler with moderate replayability. I haven't heard anything from anyone that goes against that.
The story is short; I don't care, I wasn't looking for the story to be any good in the first place.
You can beat it quickly; Still don't care because there is co-op, and you can replay level...
The camera in NG2 does suck balls. It's not just inconvenient, it makes some things downright stupidly hard, and completely defeats the purpose of some of the mechanics.
EXAMPLE:
Enemy Attacks>>>>DODGE!! !>>>>Ryu prays the enemy doesn't attack him while I try to point the camera back in the general direction of the enemy so I can counter attack>>>>Camera thinks it knows what I want and immediately points at corner with nothing in i...
obviously. VG is the only one that attempts to track weekly; if they weren't wrong 30+% of the time, that would be awesome.
I do think a lot of people were giving MGS4 a lot of extra credit towards console sales than it's actually going to get, but I still think it did a bit better than that.
Have you read the comment sections before? I suggest you look around a little before you speak.
You sir, are an idiot. M$ has been updating their hardware at least annually on ALL xbox 360 models. The average launch failure rate was somewhere upwards of 30%. The failure rate now is less than half that for all models INCLUDING the 30% of failed launch models.
Stop being ignorant.
@ everyone else...
ur right... sony's not a software company. Someone should tell them we don't need them to make games anymore. This argument is so dumb. It would make more sense...
Where do I find this vintage saudi porn?
I agree in that M$ really should start making more first party studios. WHERE THE HELL WERE THEY ON BIOWARE?! I mean seriously. Their biggest RPG developer, and probably the single BEST western RPG dev.
They could have used the GTA4 money to crap out studios left and right. I have no idea why their not doing it. That is seriously the one spot they could absolutely DOMINATE in.
They have so many resources to get the talent and the capital to fund start up studios ever...
Is selling better than then the PS2 did originally.
That story after story bashed the PS3 a year+ ago.
BECAUSE ALL THE STORIES BASHED THE PS3 A YEAR+ AGO! Everybody and their mom's bashed it. Analysts bashed it, Major Game sites bashed it, Major business sites bashed it, Major retailers bashed it. A lot of them had pretty good reasons too.
Right now, it's about balanced as far as good and bad news for 360/PS3/Wii, but this site has an incredible leaning for PS3 now (keyword NOW).
Absolute Fud like this ge...
Might stay timed exclusive to deal with increased production time on PS3. Much like Rage.
Where does he say the elite's "fix" the problem?
He says the design got better with them, and it did.
"We know we have a much better design in the market now. We verified that."
The elite's as well as any new xbox 360's failure rate is much better than the original launch console. The new board that's going to be released later this year is going to improve on that again.
No console is completely error proof. We already ...
